On November 30, 2017, a forum titled THE DEVELOPMENT FORUM OF CHINA’S SHIP REPAIR INDUSTRY IN NEW ERA, also known as THE SECOND PROMOTION CONFERENCE OF TECHNICAL REVOLUTION IN SHIP REPAIR INDUSTRY was held in Zhoushan, sponsored by the Ship Repair Branch of China Association of the National Shipbuilding Industry, the Chinese Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers Ship Repair and organized by Zhoushan IMCZY Shipyard & Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as IMCZY). Around 100 representatives from China's major drydocking shipyards, provincial and municipal industry associations, international mainstream classification societies and anti-corrosion coating manufacturers visited the new technology for the new blasting method. During the scene event, IMCZY put into 21 sets of equipment for the overall ship hall treatment applying ultra-high pressure water jetting with 300 hours. And the average efficiency is over 20㎡ per hour, especially in the vertical bottom 100% de-rusting area, efficiency exceeded 25㎡ per hour, which triples the traditional ones, the overall efficiency of the blasting operation has been able to replace the traditional open gritblasting to achieve the change, without affecting the dock schedules.

At the conference after the scene event, Li Zhengjian, secretary-general of the Ship Repair Branch of China Association of the National Shipbuilding Industry, asserted that this forum and promotion conference aims at making important strides in the technological progress, which is of crucial and far-reaching significant for the whole industry At the present stage, focused on changing the supply side through green ship repair, and gradually realize the new requirements for environmental protection sprung up since the 19th CPC National Congress. Liu Dankai, deputy secretary general of Zhoushan Municipal Government, expressed the government's respects and support for the green ship repair. Chen Yong, president of IMCZY, addressed a report of "opening new prospects for green ship repair enterprises when China’s ship repair industry rises to the World Power. In the afternoon session, experts from all the participating parties made relevant reports on innovation in their respective fields.

In the discussion and speech session following up, Li Zhengjian said that IMCZY had a first-class manufacture process in the whole country even leading in the global industry. With the implementation of the spirt introduced by the 19th CPC National Congress, a revolution of the green ship repair in the industry is rising. IMCZY set a good example. He demanded participants to implement the idea that" great environment is huge fortune "and act as soon as possible to proactively implement the technology transformation of green ship repair to avoid the fate of being eliminated by the industrial revolution. Lu Zhiyou, general manager of Chengxi shipyard held the view that IMCZY is an enterprise has ideas actions and results. Other companies in the industry needed to change their awareness and work together to push the entire ship repair business in China to a high level. Other delegates regarded the growing development and the technical experiences of UHP water jetting as a role model. They hoped that IMCZY could sum up the experiences and promote them. The idea of green repair ship is an inevitable trend, everybody will work together.

Chen Yong, president of IMCZY addressed that IMCZY gained tunes of experience in introducing a great amount of advanced docking technology and equipment. And would like to share to peers, as we had done in the annual report in the beginning of 2017, titled “we are striving to promote technology oriented methods to achieve and set standard as green shipyard of crucial and far-reaching significance for the world marine industry and world shipping industry.
