"215,500 ㎡!" NEW RECORD -The UHP Hydro Jet Area Of IMCZY In August

2020-09-15

In the process of vessels’dry-docking, most shipyards in the world still adopt traditional gritblasting technology for hull surface treatment, which is a labor-intensive, technically backward method with serious harm to the environment and human body. IMCZY has adopted UHP hydro jet treatment technology since 2013 and comprehensive replaced the sandblasting 5 years ago. Up to now, more than 800 vessels have been maintenanced by UHP hydro jetting treatment.

Recently shipyard business are very busy and heavy, and at the same time the vessels staying at the shipyard were very tight as well as the workscope were multi-large in August. .The docking workshop completed UHP hydro jet treatment of ship hulls, tanks and other areas,  and the total  area reached 215,500 square meters whichbreaking our  record in history.  The  quality and efficiency have been highly praised by the representatives of various ship owners and paint service engineers.

Two Norwegian VLCC “FRONT CECILIE” and “FRONT SIGNE”dry-docked one after another,  both vesseles carried out UHP hydro jet to WA2.0 more than 30,000 square meters under the waterline. Under the meticulous organization and joint efforts of all members of the project team, it only took 38 hours to complete the hydro jet and applied the first paint on hull, effectively ensuring the completion of ship repair project.

In recent years, IMCZY, making bold changes and innovations has been actively promoting the transformation and development of ship repair industry in the direction of green, smart and sustainable. IMCZY independently developed a complete set of world-leading intelligent ship repair operation equipment and provided solutions for many mainstream shipyards.

Under the organization of the Ship Repairing Branch of the China Shipbuilding Industry Association, the first application standard for hydro jet treatment in ship repair industry "Technical Requirements for Ship Repair Coating Operations" compiled by IMCZY has been formulated. Recently, IMCZY was invited to be a member of the NACE International (National Association of Corrosion Engineers.) Standards Committee. The above standards have also been translated into English as the basic manuscript of the NACE SP21494 standard. It will be released after calibration and review, which means The solution provided by IMCZY has officially entered the international arena.
