CARGO HOLD ARTISAN ARISED AT IMCZY
2023-09-03
Ship Maintenance Technology R&D Center of IMCZY has recently made a major breakthrough, realizing the efficient operation of robots in the cargo hold of bulk carrier with ultra-high pressure water blasting technology. This technological breakthrough has filled the gap in the ship industry. After successfully developing the DOCKWARRIOR in 2017, IMCZY once again leads the development of the ship repair industry. It not only provides new robot solutions for the global ship repair industry, but also lays the foundation for the technological revolution of anti-corrosion and rust removal operations in the cargo holds of bulk carrier, promoting the green, low-carbon, and digital integration of the ship repair industry.
At present, in the rust removal operation inside the cargo hold of bulk carrier, shipyards mainly use inefficient manual handheld ultra-high pressure water guns for rust removal, especially for the reverse position of the face plate of the cargo hold frame, the rust removal quality is difficult to meet the standard, which has become a key issue of concern for shipowners and paint manufacturers.
In order to solve this problem, a series of operation robots from IMCZY have emerged. Among them, the CARGO HOLD ARTISAN A robot is specifically used for the rust removal of the reverse position of the face plate of the cargo hold frame, which can achieve automatic intelligent operations and meet the needs of multiple ship types and full specification frames. The CARGO HOLD ARTISAN B robot is an integrated multifunctional rust removal robot that integrates web plates and face plates, allowing for flexible conversion and meeting the requirements of high-quality rust removal operations. In addition, the CARGO HOLD ARTISAN C spider robot can be remotely operated, mainly used for rust removal on the reverse position of face plates, freeing the dependence on manual work and improving work efficiency and quality.
In addition to these series robots of CARGO HOLD ARTISAN, IMCZY has also independently developed an intelligent carrying robot DOCKELEPHANT. That is equipped with CARGO HOLD ARTISAN for synchronous operation, establishing a precise and stable working space relationship upon the working surface, allowing the various functions and characteristics of the two robots to be fully utilized, bringing the anti-corrosion repair of ships’ cargo hold into a new era of robot operation.
